Dear users,

Unfortunately today we have suspended our Rating System! This was the result of repeatedly misuse of the system by some users. Up until now we did not monitor votes, meaning we didn't know who voted what. But recent voting that had to do specifically with photos that are on the top rated list made us to start monitor these "strange votes". It appeared that most votes were from one or two users that their photos were usually rejected on the website ONLY for reasons described on our terms and conditions.

Again in the past few days the same "strange" votes appeared again. The "victims" this time were random photos that were voted only with 5 star rating or photos that where not voted yet. Again in cases where the first vote is a one star vote, one can argue that it is the voter's decision to vote so. But you can tell when a pattern appears, like when one photo after the other in "Photo ID" order is voted.

Since these actions alter the final average rating for some photos and it appears that this was the only reason for these actions in the first place, we decided to suspend our Rating System.

Soon we will introduce a new way for our users to vote for their favorite photos. We are open to any suggestions or views on this matter.
