Starting today we have introduced an update page!

From now on, new photos will not appear on our homepage. We created an update page that can hold much more than the 15 photos that we had on our homepage.

As traffic increases we hope this new feature will make photo addition quicker and "wait" times shorter.

You can access the update page directly on http://www.airpics.net/update . The page is updated everyday at 18:00 GMT (19:00 GMT after the 30th of OCtober)

We changed slightly the upload process and added a cancelation button in the second step. We also check for exif inforamtion in the second step. For any problems, please contact us.

» 12/7/2010 - Photo View Count!

Our photographers are now able to check the total number of views for all their photos on airpics.net.

This information is accessed from the "My user info" Tab on the User's profile. The information includes
Total views and average views.

We added cross search option on photo page. Now, you can combine photo details and search with these details as search criteria.

» 10/5/2009 - New server!

We are glad to inform you that as of Saturday the 9th of May our websites have been moved to a new larger and faster server. So far everything seems to run smoothly but there might be some small problems that need to be fixed. We try to fix every bug as soon as we find it, but we would like to ask you to inform us in case you find something that needs to be fixed.

We hope that we offer you a faster site and big enough for all your great shots!

» 30/3/2009 - Favorite Photos!

We all have our favorite photos on airpics.net! Now we have created a section on your user profile that allows you to keep all your favorite photos.

To add photos simply click on the Star Icon located under each photo. In the same way you can remove a photo from your favorite list. Also photos can be removed from the list by clicking “Remove” on the list of your photos in the “My Favorite Photos” section of your profile.

If you have uploaded photos under each one on the photo view pages you can see how many people have added your photo on their lists.

» 9/2/2009 - Track visits to your photos!

Our photographers are now able to track visits to their photos from other websites (referring domain), simply by clicking on the "See referring domains" link on the photo display page for each photo. In the list there is information for the last 30 days. If in the "Reffering Domain" column there is a "No Referer" message, this will indicate that either the visitor came from a direct link or that the visitor uses a referer blocker software

» 9/2/2009 - More powerful keyword search

Now, you can use quotes (") for exact search and asterisk (*) as a wild character. For example, you can search for "Athens Airways" (preserving quotes) or using asterisk McDonn* or McDo*ell getting all photos of McDonnell. For keywords less that 5 characters asterisk is added at the end automatically.

» 9/1/2009 - "New additions" Menu!

We have added today a new menu on airpics.net! Right under our site photo news you can se the "New additions" menu. It includes photos that were added in the last 48 hours from your click, photos added in the last 7 days, photos of the newest airlines and operators added on the site and photos of the newest aircraft types. We hope you like this feature.
